Hey, I'm Melissa Goodwin. I'm the founder of BRKTHRU Group (a coaching agency to personal brands and Fortune 500 companies), a YouTuber, author, and fashion designer.

I’m deeply passionate about helping people (no matter where they are at in life) unleash the most confident version of themselves.

Growing up, I dressed Barbie for her dreams. Anything she wanted, she’d get…because I was dressing her for it.

This taught me that anything was possible when you love how you feel in the mirror.

As I grew out of Barbie and into dressing my own body, the mirror and I had a real love/hate relationship for the majority of my childhood and young adulthood.

Because of this, I taught myself how to feel good and gain confidence through fashion. Only I didn’t have any money to buy expensive clothes, so I curated the skills to shop for the best style for the most affordable prices.

This resulted in a lot of career and life success. I eventually built a seven-figure coaching business serving some of the world’s best billion-dollar brand leaders.

In 2018, I knew it was it time to begin sharing the style secrets I was using personally to build my own confidence, with an audience. So that year I tip-toed onto Youtube and began building a channel sharing feel good, affordable fashion.

My channel quickly grew and within a year I had over 20,000 subscribers and a couple of viral videos.

But I learned success doesn’t always equal confidence.

I experienced a new wave of imposter syndrome, business shake-up, and the challenges of having to navigate a pandemic and lock down with two kids.

All of this resulted in a Tuesday afternoon in 2021, unshowered, depressed, on the verge of quitting Youtube, and 20 pounds heavier than I’d ever been when I realized:

I had stopped getting dressed.

“It wasn’t just me either. My eyes opened up to so many others struggling around me - in life & in business because when you change how you show up everyday, you change.”

That was the moment I knew I’d discovered a secret that was embedded into my story from childhood.

A secret that was there all along that could unlock the happiest, healthiest, most abundant version of me and you.

I didn’t know it then, but I know now that dressing Barbie for her dreams would one day turn into the joy of dressing you for yours.

After years of letting it live in my imagination, I not only get to develop women to be the most confident version of themselves in any room they are in, but I get to dress them too. My first fashion line launches in spring/summer, 2024.
